Christy & Yusuf

We love hearing great feedback from our couples!  Christy had lots of great things to say about their wedding day and their experience with D’nM:

How was your experience working with D’nM Wedding Films?
The experience was perfect. Everyone on the team are very professional, well organised/dressed/groomed and on time. The team also worked seamlessly with my photographer (Darryn Mckay) without getting in each others’ way.  I would highly recommend.

Why was video important to you?
It’s important for us as we would want to one day watch it together when we grow old and show our children and grandchildren.

Why did you choose D’nM?
Through word of mouth, good reviews and beautiful portfolio online =)

How were the team on your wedding day?
Fun. Relax. Easy to Talk to. Down-to-Earth. Professional. Organised. Proficient. Just Perfect.

Tell us about choosing your wedding dress? (easy, hard, did the dress ‘choose itself’?)
Dress was the easier part, my aunty measured me and bought one for me while she was on her holiday. It fitted me perfectly after her tailoring. She also made the intricate details on my neck piece, which is so lovely of her. It worked out well, as it saved me time and effort.

Tell us about other suppliers that you loved working with.
Darryn Makay – his photos are gorgeous, and the turn around time is super fast.
Kim from Circle of Love – So lovely to work with. Very professional and very kind-hearted.
Odette from at Breakfast Community Club – give us a last min ceremony venue when RBG fell through. They did everything quickly for us without charging us an arm and leg knowing we were quite desperate (very grateful)
Best Buds – Our wedding florist, Wendy also did our hens activity in Langham hotel – flower crown workshop
Le Montage – The girls there are quite patient with us, going through many iterations for the decorations. … we were caught with a lot of unexpected costs which we thought were all included when we made the booking). So moral of the story is, the girls are lovely to work with, the venue is beautiful, but the lack of transparency isn’t so lovely.

What were your favourite moments from your wedding day?
Too many to count..=)

1. Boys kissing (during the Chinese door-games)
2. Time in the car to the venues – everyone had a great time chatting, drinking and playing loud Turkish music
3. The dance entrance – love the beat
4. The weather of the day and when we said our vows under the clear blue sky
5. Bestman Sid’s speech – very entertaining
6. Yusuf’s speech – made me a little teary.

Why did you choose your location / venues?
Le Montage – Lovely water view.

Breakfast Point Country Club – by sheer luck, as it was very last min. It’s very reasonable in terms of the rates they charge compare to RBG or any other venues I enquired. Yet it’s prob the best of all options. I don’t know why we didn’t find it earlier, but everything worked out well in the end, which was lucky =)

What advice would you give to couples planning their wedding?
My husband got a good piece of advice from one of his close friends. He told me before our wedding to calm me down, it goes something like this: whatever bad happens on the day, no one would notice apart from us. Everyone are too busy enjoying themselves to care about the details. So we will just enjoy the day.

Oh another one from a friend of mine: the day goes by so quickly and before you know it, it will end. So take a moment to look around the room before the it slips through your fingertips.

It truly is one of the happiest days of my life.
